Cub Repots from Camps

 

Summer Camp, Huish Woods, Taunton, July 2007

 

At Cub camp we went to Woodlands. We went on some rides like the go-karts, play areas and finally we went on a boat ride. At the end we went to the shop and I bought some things for my family.

 

The next day we went to Cheddar caves. It was fun. As soon as we got into the caves we were give some remote control things and you had to press buttons to hear different interesting things about the cave. When we got far into the cave there were some statues and I thought they were real people!

 

Then we left and went into another cave. Inside there were lots of cool things but some cubs were scared because it was spooky and dark so we want out. Then we had some ice cream that Akela bought us.

 

My favourite part of going to Cub camp was our visit to Cheddar caves. It was great fun and I can’t wait till next year!

On Cub camp we played badminton. We played in the Beacon field. Next we sorted out who went where.

 

I went in a tent with Liam H, Reece M, Declan G and Josh B. Then we went to do Grand Howl.

 

Grand Howl is when we do a Ceremony with Akela.

 

We came back to do some tasks. When we finished we played football.

 

The next day we went to Woodlands, we had lots of fun.

 

We built a fire and we had Marshmallows.

 

We went to the shop and I bought a bouncy ball.

Christmas Camp, Griggs Farm, Chard, December 2007

 

Cub Camp was great

 

We went on the Zip Wire and swung on a tyre and we had Pasta Bolognaise for tea.

 Cubs made our Leaders stay up till 2am!

 

We went on the Zip Wire, we went outside in the dark and watched some fire works. We played storm the fort. We had cereal for breakfast.

On the first night some of the Cubs were talking at 2am in the morning!

 

At 10 o’clock we went to the Zip wire it was great fun and also scary, before we had dinner we played hide and seek in the dark!

We had Cereal, Pasta Bolognaise and toast. We played hide and seek, duck, duck goose. I liked every little bit of the camp. My marks out of 10 are 10/10.

Today I had a great day, we played games and we had a go on the zip wire and went to the mess tent and had breakfast, and had a treasure hunt.

First we played hide and seek and we had a treasure hunt in pairs after we played storm the fort. Then we wrote in our note books.

It is a good camp so far. We’ve been on the zip wire and assault course. Last night we stayed awake, and we had cereals for breakfast and we had toaster sandwiches for dinner and we had pasta bolognaise for tea and we played hide and seek out side, and it freaked me out because we kept seeing things moving. We couldn’t see where we were going in the field

Second day – We packed are beds away and got up. We went into the mess tent and had cereal. Then we did a treasure hunt finding objects of the alphabet. After that we played a game called storm the fort. Finally we had toast with chicken/cheese and ham. Then we went to the zip wire and played on it. Then we came back and had some tea and we saw some fireworks, hopefully.

We went on a zip wire and an obstacle course. Paul’s grandad runs the farm so he knows it, he helped me across loads of bog and I got really muddy. We played loads of wide games. I did my chef badge in the evening I cooked pasta bolognaise.

When we woke up everyone was jumping around. We got changed and we went to have breakfast after that we had a treasure hunt, then we played hide and seek. Next we played storm the fort after that we had lunch and some of us went to cook and the rest of us played hide and seek in the dark and then we had tea.

Arrive and un pack. Play games to 8:00. Have beans on toast. Get ready for bed, go to bed, very late. Wake up at 7:30. Pack up bed. Have breakfast at 9:00. Play games out side in till lunch. Go to a zip wire, come back and play games. Have tea, wash up and have a great time.

 

Josh

 

 

First we came to Griggs Farm, and stayed up till 11 o’clock. When we woke up we got dressed and went to the mess tent to eat some cereal, then went to wash up and play. After that we went to eat some lunch which was either chicken, ham or cheese sandwich and either yoghurt or fruit and a chocolate bar and dunkers. Then we went to play on a zip wire for a bit. We then got back to have pasta bolognaise and then we wrote this writing.

Last night was a night to remember because we all stayed up until 2 o’clock. This morning for breakfast we all had cereals. For lunch we had toast and ham, toast with cheese and chicken, or toast and chicken. After lunch we walked down to the zip wire and when we were going down we started to sing the scouting song. When we got there Akela set up the zip wire, at fist I was a little shaky but when I saw it went slow I went on. Then I went around that obstacle course. Then the dogs who live were we are sleeping came round to play. Later we played hide and seek in the dark. For tea we had pasta bolognaise and Reece, Cameron, will and Bradley made it.
